Life as of recent has been crazy and fun. Work has sent me back to DC where I sit right now before my conference call and meeting. The photography has been a time of reflection honestly. I am looking at where I would like to take this. Right now my FANTASTIC graphic designer, Kate, is working on helping the branding of my children’s site. Why a separate kids site you ask? thanks I am glad you enjoy playing along) Well as I think about what I have loved my whole life a common theme that has been with me it has been children and conversing with them and understanding them. I was a swim instructor for babies for around 15 years…still do it sometimes for friends, but that is neither here nor there. I was a camp counselor for 15 year old girls. Each time my path took me to a place of knowing the child, understanding the child, and helping the child grow. I feel that my path now as a photographer is to concentrate on capturing the child. Placing in a picture the face that a parent knows. I want to have a site designed and designated JUST for them. I still love weddings and love to shoot them as they remind me of how much I love my husband and the joy that surrounds them well in all selfishness it helps me be happier…how could I give that up? But I digress…we are about to launch the kids site and I am thrilled…
I have thought a million times how to write that, and really I came down to it must just be a small little brain dump. I put together quite a load for my friend Kate and I showed it to my BFF Heather and here were her words. I love it because she so knows me.

As you can see I am going to have to go make some jewelry! But Heather does know me so well. I sit here right now in my “work clothes” of practicallity but my heart yearns for sparkly shoes, my pink holga, and wild flowers. All this together with so much else is who I truly am. All that shows that right now is my pink sapphire necklace. Soon Soon…I look to unveil my new brand to you and give you a peak of my soul.

One of the things that I love about you Stacy (and there are a lot of things), is that even sitting there in your work clothes, without pink sparkly shoes, you yourself still sparkle. That is what makes you unique, and that is what ALWAYS draws the world to you.
