I had the pleasure this week of joining my dear friends Julia Vandenoever and her husband Casey as they welcomed their new son into the world.
Julia requested this on my blog when she saw on the back of the camera…so here is a pic of me after I got my scrubs on for the event:
We hung out in the waiting room before the walk into the OR. I would never guess I would be able to handle an OR. I was the girl who ran out of Biology Lab because she had to hurl. This day we had more important things to accomplish then simply a good grade. We had a baby to meet!
Here are Julia and Casey before. I swear he was smiling under that mask I KNOW it!
After 30 minutes or so we had this little joy. Here is getting cleaned up.
Congratulations V family! He is gorgeous. I cannot wait to come see you guys soon.

Dustin Izatt - Oh, I love it
You documented this event perfectly. I love the shot in the hall carrying the stereo. Way to go

weezalana - Amazing pics hon! I love how she’s clutching her gown closed on the way to the OR, too, that totally made me laugh.
Heather - Stacy these pictures are so powerful. Being a mother of two babes born by emergency cesarean, you have no idea how important these photos will be to this family. I hate to sound silly, but thank you for capturing this moment in such a beautiful way.
Emily - These are so wonderful Stacy! What a treasure you have given them to remember the birth of their child. I love them all!
